Murtaghs' Well Control Visualizer is a software product that has been specially developed for the oil and gas drilling and workover industry that produces continuous video graphics images of the stages of control of wells that have "kicked".

Murtaghs' WCV was developed as a Well Control teaching aid in close cooperation with leading Australian and International Well Control Schools. It is currently used in both classroom teaching environments as well as on-site training and refresher courses.

It facilitates the teaching of Well Control principles by allowing students to graphically see the down-hole phenomena and relate those to observable surface effects. Scenarios can be easily repeated with slightly altered parameters and students can gain a direct understand of the effects of those parameter changes.
